Owhango village is situated on State Highway 4, midway between Taumarunui and National Park in the central North Island. It is bordered on one side by the Ohinetonga Reserve, Whakapapa River and Tongariro Forest Park, and on the other by prime farmland. There is easy access to a range of outdoor activities to suit all levels of fitness and interest. We have a primary school.

Owhango Adventures is located in the centre of the Ruapehu Region, based in a small town called Owhango. Exactly halfway in between Wellington and Auckland, New Plymouth and Napier situated on the 39 degree south parallel.

Welcome to the Owhango Beekeepers Club. We have formed out of a local community based in the Ruapehu District and with the ultimate goal of increasing the number of bees in our neighbourhoods. During the bee season, generally September through to March we meet in our local community hall once a month, and try to have on average one or two field days per month at our local hive, within 200 metres of our local hall.
